I published my first pattern, Lolo Shawl, on Ravelry yesterday, less than 24 hours before writing this blog. To my absolute amazement, it seems to have taken off in Ravery. Eight people have already purchased it and I only know one of those people (thanks Cate!), and it is in the top 10 of the 'Hot Right Now' list on the Ravelry Patterns page. Click on the photo to see the pattern on Ravelry.
I visit Ravelry all the time to browse patterns, and have appreciated the access it provides for patterns from all over the world. This is my first time experiencing that power from the other side.
If you are a knitter and have not yet joined Ravelry, you are in for a treat! I just saw that the 3 millionth Raveler just joined Ravely. Wow!!
Special thanks to Mokihana and Mary B. for Ravelry guidance, and to Chris V., Sonya P., and Anna T. and Shelley H. for test-knitting the pattern.
